We can’t all be Greek Scholars…
As a cradle Catholic, I grew up not knowing much of what the Catholic Church teaches. I thought some things were optional…like not everyone needs to listen to that teaching about contraception being bad. Right?
WRONG!
When I encountered Jesus in college, I felt loved in a new way. The Bible was no longer collecting dust on my shelf. Its binding started to receive wear. My journal no longer had yearly entries. It started to have weekly (then daily) entries.
At some point, I discovered the world of Catholic apologetics, mostly through Catholic Answers. A hunger for truth set in that I had never experienced before. It was invigorating! I was encountering truths about the faith that I never even knew existed!
I quickly realized how important truth is if one wants to continually draw closer to Christ. A prayer life is important. Living out the true Gospel is important.
This Substack is a place for me to write about what I’ve learned through reading books, watching YouTube videos, and discussing Catholicism with others. I don’t have a theology degree, but I do have a lot of passion when it comes to this subject.
We can’t all be Greek Scholars. We can’t all sit and read the writings of the Church Fathers (well, we could, but I know not everyone wants to). So here’s a Substack you can subscribe to and learn from someone who loves all things theology.
I hope you click the little “Subscribe now” button to learn with me, and maybe I’ll get to learn from you, too!
